Philip Rei, Member of the Month
Phil is such a hard worker. He rushes in from work everyday to make time for fitness. He’s been a part of our community for a few years and in this time as become a staple of our CrossFit Family. Phil’s easygoing spirit, unshakable work ethic and always on-point humor make coaching Phil a real pleasure. I’ve been so proud of him particularly this past year. He’s been coming regularly and really focusing on high skill movements and he’s making incredible progress! Phil is a great example of the potential of what hard work, consistency, and humility. We’re so happy to have Phil in our CrossFit family and I’m really glad to see him celebrated this month! - Coach Giana
Phil is always a pleasure to have in class, especially when we have squats in the daily workout. He is always smiling and has a positive attitude. Phil, you deserve the spotlight . - Coach Annie
What do you like about CrossFit? I like that each workout really is a challenge and that with the support of the coaches and other members you really get to push yourself to do things and finish workouts you never thought you would’ve been able to! It’s a great feeling to accomplish something very difficult and get that sense of pride and self esteem once you have made it through it.
What is your favorite CrossFit movement?
I really enjoy Wall Balls because when I first started they were very tough and tiring for me but now to be able see how many I can do in comparison is awesome. Plus you feel like a beast throwing that medicine ball up there!
What would you say to someone who wants to try it?
Go for it and dive right in! Every movement can be scaled back so anyone can do them! Your body will feel great after workouts and you will have so much energy throughout the day! You will also feel really proud of yourself! Just do it!
What is something people might not know about you?
I love reading and learning new things about literally any subject. I am building a home library of books that I have read. If there is a subject and you give me a book about it…I will read it!
