I have been involved with sports, fitness, and the Meriden YMCA for my entire life. I started getting into CrossFit with my family when CrossFit Meriden first opened at their very first location, and I always had such a great time going with my mom and siblings. I was a Spinning® and fitness instructor for about 10 years and trained for the Hartford Half Marathon in 2018, so I wasn't very consistent with CrossFit and at the time enjoyed the variety of fitness I was doing. I also coached high school girls lacrosse and field hockey for about 8 years.
When everything shut down in 2020, my family and I focused our time on at-home workouts and really pushed each other to stay active and consistent. These included a lot of CrossFit inspired workouts, and once CFME started to open, I became 100% committed to CrossFit and never looked back. In 2021 I went for my Level 1 Trainer CrossFit Certification and have since continued to research and put in the work to improve myself as an athlete and coach and learn more about fitness and CrossFit.
I love the competitive energy at CrossFit, especially with a background in sports. I have found this to motivate me the most, along with the great community we have built together at CFME.
