When I turned 30 I had just moved to a new city and honestly wasn’t leaving my apartment except for work. I decided I wanted to join a gym; not just for the physical improvements but for the psychological benefits as well. And as luck would have it there was a CrossFit gym down the street from my apartment, it was a win-win.

I soon became addicted, going in early and staying late 7 days a week to master the basics and ensure I could always do a workout Rx.

Thanks to CrossFit I’ve found a passion for obstacle course races, like Tough Mudder, of which I’ve completed over a dozen, and Olympic weightlifting, where I’ve competed and podiumed multiple times, including a bronze in the 2022 Connecticut State Championships in the 81 Kg open division.

I joined CrossFit Meriden in late 2022 and quickly made myself a regular fixture of the 5:00 p.m. classes.
