What is the biggest change you’ve seen in yourself since you started CrossFit?
CrossFit has changed my body, mind and soul. Its more than just a workout, its a lifestyle. The CrossFit community is so supportive. Everyone has their own personal goals, but we're all driven to be the best we can be while supporting each other. CrossFit has made me change my eating and training habits. I learned to slow down and listen! I'm so grateful for the awesome coaches, who give so much knowledge and support.
What do you like about it?
I love that everyday is a different workout, there is always something to work on and get better at. For example, I'm working on kipping pullups and handstand pushups and the knowledgeable coaches have made progression possible from week to week. I also love the sense of community. Everyone is working on something and supporting each other. The friendships made at CrossFit are friends for life!
What is your favorite CrossFit movement?
Do I really have to pick just one? I'm torn between toes to bar and power snatch and rope climbs. They are all movements I had to work really hard at, and I'm still working on all of them, but I love the progression. The coaches help with form or technique while encouraging members to get that PR or try something new.
What would you say to someone who wants to try it?
Try it now! I can't say enough about CrossFit. There are plenty of workouts out there, but CrossFit is different. The combination of the coaching, WOD of the day, and community aspect is something that will never be found at a gym. CrossFit is a workout that can be modified to any fitness level. There is always room for improvement. It will change your life, like it changed mine!
